In 1876 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the American Revolutionary War, these types of coats, jackets and other military style uniforms of the era, were reproduced. The garments would’ve been worn in town parades, social parties and other gatherings to commemorate the start of the American Revolution. This piece is in good condition and retains the majority of its buttons.
