A extremely rare North Carolina Charlotte Military Institute Coat Button in fabulous Non-dug condition. These buttons are believed to have been produced between 1859-1860 making them rare a button even during the war. It has a Scovill MFG CO. Waterbury back mark and measures 19mm. This button comes from the late Terry Teff collection, who was the leading expert on civil war buttons from the great state of North Carolina! You can smell the vinegar bbq on this piece!!!
