Dug U.S. Pattern 1839 Cartridge Box Plate and a U.S. Pattern 1826 Eagle Breast Plate. Both plates were dug in the same area seven days apart! They were found at Haynes Bluff in Mississippi, the breast plate was found on February 8th 1976 and the box plate was found on the 15th. They both show the same dark brown patina, and are in absolutely beautiful condition! A great grouping of civil war era plates!
