A wonderful and very fine condition Cased Colt Model 1849 “Pocket” Revolver with a 4-inch barrel. Along with the revolver, in the case, are a Colt bullet mold, combination tool, full tin of percussion caps made by “The Union Metallic Cartridge Co.”, a un-open package of 5 - .31 Calibre Combustible Envelope Cartridges by “Hazards Powder”, and a unmarked powder flask. The Revolver is in absolutely beautiful condition, retaining lots of original finish, clear-crisp markings and engravings and a tight working action. The Serial Number is #100134, giving it a production date of 1855 and all numbers are matching. The wooden mahogany case is in fine condition, has working hinges, has no cracks or major scratches. The interior retains all of its velvet liner. It is truly a remarkable piece showcasing the craftsmanship and ingenuity of Samuel Colt, and wonderful piece of Colt and Firearms history, ready to be added to your museum today!
