Dug Confederate Raleigh Arsenal .69 Cal.  shotgun slug. The Raleigh Arsenal was originally known as the North Carolina Insitute for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind and these bullets were carried by NC troops. This slug was recovered from a section of the original defenses around the city of Raleigh.
